The Durostrip range of paint stripping products are water based, more environmentally friendly and less hazardous than traditional products. They are capable of performing in the toughest of applications and situations. Our cutting edge formulations produce excellent results when stripping a wide range of paints from almost any type of surface, including wood, furniture, masonry, metals, plastics.
These products will quickly remove a huge range of coatings including polyester and epoxy powder coatings, water based coatings, primers, oil based paints, emulsion, textured paint, masonry paint and gloss. They are effective on many substrates, including metal, wood, plaster, plastics, GRP, stone, brick, marble, concrete and many more. It is odour free and can be used in confined spaces.
Usage Instructions:
Ensure that the area to be stripped is clean and free of grease.
Brush a generous layer of Durostrip on to the surface. Allow the paint to blister or soften (depending upon the paint type). This should take between 30 and 60 minutes but will vary depending upon ambient temperature, paint type, thickness and number of layers.
Do not allow Durostrip to dry out, apply more product if this starts to happen.
Remove softened/ blistered paint by either rinsing , scraping or power washing with water.
Clean the area thoroughly with a mild soap solution, then finally rinse with clean water
Use wire wool to remove softened paint in awkward corners and profiles
Some customers have said that covering the treated area with cling film reduces the strip time
