Why a non toxic solution is better than bleach or ammonia when dealing with mould.

In itself mould is already a partially toxic substance. It has the ability to cause allergic reactions and many different respiratory problems, which makes it a very dangerous substance to have lingering in your home. With this in mind it may cross your mind that it may not be the best idea to treat a toxic substance with another.
Bleach is a very powerful substance which can kill practically any variation of mould in your home. It works fast and produces visibly good results but it comes at a price. Being filled with chemicals makes it a dangerous chemical to work with. The solution can severely irritate the skin and gives off toxic fumes. In comparison a non toxic solution, such as the MoGo Damp Seal, has no chemicals in the solution so it cannot emit fumes.
Similar to bleach, ammonia is also a highly toxic solution which also has the power to destroy practically any form of mould. Though it is a different element on its own, all the properties it has match closely with bleach down to the toxic fumes it releases. Even more dangerous than ammonia and bleach is to put the two together. When mixed the solution produces an even more toxic fumes which can have major effects on your health.
Acting in the safest way to protect your loved ones means that you need a solution which not only does the job thoroughly but it also poses no threat to vulnerable family members, children or pets too. Having a non toxic product to treat mould doesn't mean that there is a lower level of results. Just as effective, if not more so, a non toxic solution can work deeper into the mould and into the roots rather than just covering the surface.
Bleach and ammonia do not contain the properties to penetrate materials or surfaces so they are only effective on non porous materials. Working across the surface they can kill everything in their path but the mould will soon grow back as the roots have been left untouched. When using a non toxic combination the mould can be treated from tip to root and destroyed completely. By then adding a protective transparent barrier over the surface being treated will prevent any form of mould from re-growing on that area.
If you are looking for a safe to use solution to prevent the growth of Mould and Mildew on any surface, MoGo Damp Seal is now available from our webstore by clicking here.
