How to use MossKill

Using products from the FUZE MossKill range could not be easier
If using MossKill then:
  • spray onto the moss/algae using a watering can or a knapsack sprayer
If using MossKill Pro then:
  • dilute the MossKill Pro 1 part MossKill Pro to 4 to 20 parts of water, depending upon the thickness of the moss being removed. 1 in 10 is usually a good place to start.
  • mix thoroughly

  • spray onto the moss/algae  using a watering can or knapsack sprayer
MossKill will start to work on contact but must be allowed  to dry thoroughly.

All applications of MossKill should be carried out on a dry day. Most moss will
be dying off within 24 hours, although heavy growths may take longer. The residue can be washed away using a hose pipe or power washer, or simply leave it until the next rainy day when it will be naturally rinsed away.

Mosskill prevents regrowth because unlike bleach, it penetrates the surface on which the mould is growing and kills the mould and algae spores as well. However, over time spores brought in with the wind, animals, etc. will recontaminate the surface and further mould/algae growth will reoccur.

How quickly this happens depends on many things, but close proximity to trees (which are naturally covered in moss and algae) or north facing aspects (no sun to inhibit moss/algae growth) will mean quicker reinfection.

Using MossKill Seal on the surface after all the moss or algae has gone will give much greater resistance to re-infection. MossKill seal simply seals the surface with a moss/algae killing barrier, and prevents the spores from growing, hence inhibits any further moss/algae growth. Just spray over the surface to be treated and allow to dry
