Possibly one of the most tedious jobs you will ever need to do is removing the moss infestation from your garden, path or wall. Moss really can grow everywhere so it probably feels like a never ending job, but that doesn't mean it needs to be a hard job.
There are several options to choose from when removing moss. Whether
it's a case of selecting which product to use or which tool to scrape
it off the wall with, you do have the chance to choose which method
to apply but why make life hard for yourself?
Many products on the market require a lot of effort on your part.
With a few sprays of product and then chiselling at the moss with a
scraper of some variation, this is a common way of tackling the moss
problem. However practising this method doesn't actually remove the
moss.
In order to remove moss effectively you need to remove the root as
well as all the visible sponge. Not removing the root will mean that
it won't be long before it starts to grow again, meaning extra work
for you. Instead of scraping the wall every 5 minutes there is a much
easier option which is really effective against the roots of moss.
Water based moss removal solutions allow a much more long term
solution than scraping the toppings off the wall. Getting down into
the root of the moss the solution kills the cells and stops it
growing any further. This method is much easier to implement as many
solutions only require one application and then nature does the rest.
So not only does the water based solution require minimal effort, it
also does a much better job with long lasting results. An extra bonus
is that the water based solution is safer than any other product. As
it contains no hazardous chemicals and nasty toxic material the
solution is friendly to the environment and to you.
As the product is designed to be left to run its course it is
perfectly safe to have family, and children, around whilst the
product is working, as it doesn't pose any danger. This also means
that if any of the product should get spilt it won't damage any
nearby vegetation or furniture.
So which is it to be, elbow grease or a cuppa?
